Supporting our Neighbors in Ukraine

Hi friends! We’ve had several opportunities to hear from people who are heavily interconnected to the situation going on in Ukraine right now. I wanted to highlight those conversations for you as well as point you to ways they have suggested supporting the people on the ground as the crisis continues.

First up is my instagram live conversation with Kelli Stuart. Kelli is an author who has lived, studied and ministered in Ukraine over various seasons of her life. She shares about her experiences, her insights and what she’s hearing from people on the ground there. She also shares about the strange and nuanced reality of releasing a historical fiction book that takes place in Russia in this climate. However The Master Craftsman is actually I think such an important book right now as it details out much of how Russia got to where it is politically, and I think you really put skin on the people there. Be sure and check out our conversation here (or see above!)

While Bethany and I spoke before the invasion of Ukraine, I released it just after that event rocked the world. Bethany’s sister and brother in law live in Ukraine, her other sister’s children were adopted from Ukraine, and they continue to share many resources, ways to pray and what’s going on with their extended family that have either fled the country or stayed. You can check out our conversation and her hope filled mission to trust God even when life isn’t what you expected here, but also be sure and follow her and two of her sisters on Instagram for more consistent updates.

Here is a list of accounts to follow that are posting factual information about what is happening in Ukraine and often ways to help, as well as organizations that are doing good on the ground.
