Happy 1st day of Advent, friends. I wanted to share a very special episode of the podcast with you to start off your Christmas season with. If you have been with the podcast for a while, you know that last year my Dad read Sally Lloyd Jones' incredible and poignant version of the Christmas story from the Jesus Storybook Bible before each of our Advent episodes.

Happy first day of Advent, friends. He and I even talked about what he loves about the Christmas story, and how God uses the least likely to tell His story in the inaugural Advent episode.

In January, my Dad passed away after a long battle with cancer. My husband and I decided that we wanted to be able to hear him read the Christmas story for us and we put them all together into one whole presentation of the story. That is what we offer you today, because maybe you need the Truth of the beauty of this story to be read over you, or your children, by someone who loved the Lord and lived His life following the life of Christ.

Thank you so much to Sally Lloyd Jones for her gift of words, and to ZonderKidz, her amazing publisher, for allowing us to share them. If you do not own a copy of the Jesus Storybook Bible, it's a must have for the kiddos in your life, not just for Christmas, but for the everyday activity of sharing big Truths with little hearts.

We hope that this serves as a sweet and easy way to share the Christmas story with your family or with your own heart, whenever you need it. We also dedicate this episode to the memory of those we have personally lost this year, including my Father, my Mother in law Becky Humphries, my Grandmother, Deola Wyatt, and all those who have passed away this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. We do not grieve without hope dear ones, because the Light of the World has come. Merry Christmas, friends.
