My friends, the very first episode of the Simply Stories Podcast is here!!!! I am thrilled to share this conversation that I had with the absolutely incredible Shari Rigby. Shari is an actress, author, and all around incredible woman of God. In this conversation, she shares about her story of God redeeming her life and leading her to Hollywood where she feels called to be a Light to other women in the film industry. She stars in the movie "Overcomer" that is set to release on August 23rd, 2019. (However, it is in many theaters today!! Launch day for everyone!!)
"Overcomer" is the newest Kendricks Brothers film (makers of War Room, Courageous, etc.) that tells the story of the Harrison family who are in the throws of change and questioning their identity as they've always known it. During that journey, they meet a young student who is asking herself some of those same questions, and a story of healing, redemption, and perseverance emerges as they seek who they really are and Whose they really are.
This movie was so moving. I need you guys to see it so we can talk about it with no spoilers. Let’s just say… the image of the voice of a Father speaking truth over his daughter as she runs… GAH. Watch it. Then.. we talk.
